Suffolk, VA, October 6 - His remains arrived in Suffolk today for transfer to the former home of the deceased near Sunbury, NC. He met death on the rail at Sumpter, South Carolina. The body was accompanied by A. SYDNEY FITCHETT, brother in law. The burial will take place Sunday, October 7, 1906 about three miles from Sunbury. He boarded the train at Sumpter, an Atlantic Coast Line train. His brother went with him to the station and said good bye. Some minutes later, a woman came running up the street saying some one was badly hurt. The brother, CHARLES ELLIS, went down to see who it was and found his brother dying. Death came before a sentence could be spoken. A coroner's jury said that he met death either by falling or jumping from the train. He had struck against a signal post. The skull was crushed and there were other injuries. He was probably leaning from the steps and leaned out too far.
