Friday, February 27, 1953 Raleigh, NC, February 26 - 39 year old operator of the Trucker's Grill near Apex, died at Rex Hospital Thursday, February 26, 1953 from a bullet wound inflicted by a 4 year old boy with whom he was playing cowboy and Indian. He was accidentally shot through the back with a .38 caliber pistol Monday, February 23, 1953 by GARY JAMES LITTLE, who picked the weapon up from behind the counter. The boy and his mother, Mrs. ALBERT J. LITTLE of San Antonio, Texas had stopped at the grill for breakfast. He was a past president of Kappa Kappa Psi, music fraternity an charter member of the Norfolk Chapter. Besides his parents and his wife, surviving are 4 sisters, Mrs. STANLEY SMITH of Silver Springs, Maryland, Mrs. W.D. DUNCAN, Mrs. K.W. HORTON and Mrs. VIRGINIA BROWNING, all of Waynesville. Funeral services are incomplete, but the body will be brought to Norfolk for services and interment.
