King of Jackson, Miss; 6 grandchildren: Kimberly, Karen, Kasey, Eric, Ben and Chad and 4 great grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday in Fairview Heights Baptist Church by Dr Ted Burton. Burial with military honors will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. He was born January 19, 1923 in Richmond, VA and was reared in the mountains of West Virginia and Western North Carolina. A graduate of Davidson College and Union Theological Seminary, he served Presbyterian churches in Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina from 1947 until his retirement in 1978. At that time he and his wife turned their hobby of hand bookbinding into a successful cottage industry which continued for 15 years. He was always active and involved member of the community in which he lived.
