Lightfoot, when their daughter, Sue Turner, became the bride of Mr. T. Jackson Boulware of Fredericksburg. Rev J. Horace Lacey of Winchester performed the ceremony. Miss Nora Willis of Richmond, was the bride's only attendant. G. Brown Boulware acted as best man. After the ceremony, the young couple left for a trip north. They will make their future home in Fredericksburg.

Norfolk Couples Quietly Married. Local Couples Figure In Three Gretna Green Affairs Within 48 Hours. Three Gretna Green marriages, in which Norfolk couples figured, occurred in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, within the last 48 hours. The contracting parties, according to dispatches were as follows: The first ceremony was celebrated in the parlors of the Arlington Hotel, when the Rev John H. Hall joined in marriage, Mr. J. Howard Thomas and Miss Bertha Katherine Keohler, Mr. Thomas registering from Norfolk and the bride from New York City. The second event came off at the Southern, when Mr. James C. Powell and Miss Mamie T. Bowden were also made man and wife by Rev J.H. Hall. After dining at their respective hostelries, both of the couples were driven to the Norfolk and Southern depot by the ever ready and obliging hackman, Elijah Williams, where they boarded the 12:28 train for Norfolk, where they will make their future homes. William Langley Turner and Miss Loretta B. Tatem, both of whom registered from Norfolk, Virginia, arrived in the city on Tuesday, October 2, 1906 and were a little later on joined in the holy bonds of matrimony at the residence of the Rev A.P. Tyer in Church Street, leaving on the afternoon train for Norfolk where they will make their future home.
